How INEC Staff Fared In Rivers Election

The working conditions of INEC ad hoc staff, posted to Unit 73, 74 and 75, all in Ward 15, Choba, Port Harcourt, were indeed terrible.

These staff, conducting the 2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections in Rivers State were subjected to a harsh working condition, being that no provision was supposedly made to give them the expected fair working condition.

TNN, while monitoring the election, made a quick stop at these units. Shockingly, the adhoc staff were seen sitting on a mat, pavement and the box used in keeping the BVAS.

There were neither chairs nor tables for the INEC Staff on election duty to discharge their duties.
