Niger Delta Group Hails PAP Leadership Under Otuaro

A group, the Niger Delta Concerned Stakeholders for Accountable Security and Progress (NDCSASP), 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta has commended the leadership style of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Otuaro.

The group attributed the relative peace and the increased oil production in the Niger Delta region to Otuaro’s administrative acumen, describing him as a man with an impeccable managerial skills to manage capital and human resources.

A statement by Enisuo Oruomoni, Spokesman of the group said “He is a proud son of the Niger Delta struggle. A man who carries the pain, the history, the sacrifices and the hope of our people with dignity and honour.

“For too long, our people were mocked, our programme was turned into a cash cow for a few greedy cabals, and our youths were used and abandoned. Today, under Dr. Otuaro, the Ijaw nation stands tall again – with pride, with honour and with undeniable results.

“Dr. Otuaro refused to succumb to fraudsters, blackmailers and their sponsors. He refused to abandon the Federal Government’s BVN policy because a few people wanted to continue stealing ghost names and diverting stipends meant for genuine ex-agitators.

“Many of our brothers did not return from the struggle. Many of our fathers paid the supreme price. Many widows were left without husbands. Many orphans were left without fathers. For years, their sacrifices were forgotten. Their families were abandoned. Their hopes were buried.

“Dr. Otuaro, thank you for remembering them. Thank you for rekindling their hopes. Thank you for proving that their loved ones did not die in vain.

“Through your leadership, a widow can now smile again. An orphan can now go to school. A youth who had lost hope can now dream of becoming a pilot, a maritime captain, a graduate, a professional.

“You have given dignity back to the families of the fallen. You have given life back to the struggle.”

Oruomoni stated that approximately 13,300 onshore scholarships and over 500 offshore scholarships awarded to Niger Delta youths under Otuaro’s administration, adding that laptops had been distributed to scholarship beneficiaries to strengthen digital learning.

Continuing, he said “4 cadet pilots and 20 aviation trainees employed after training, 40 cadets on on-the-job training, 98 maritime cadets professionally certified and over 360 stakeholders trained in alternative dispute resolution and mediation.

“We now experience prompt payment of monthly stipends to genuine ex-agitators and eligible beneficiaries. He has sanitised the PAP Office, closed loopholes, blocked ghost names, and stopped the diversion of public funds.

“This is what leadership looks like. This is what accountability looks like. This is what a son of the struggle does when given power. He uses it for his people, not for himself.

“We are behind him because he has not betrayed the struggle. We are behind him because he has not sold our dignity for contracts and kickbacks. We are behind him because he has chosen education over fraud, empowerment over theft, and peace over blackmail.

“To the blackmailers and their sponsors, we say this: Your propaganda has failed. Your campaign of calumny has failed. You cannot intimidate a man of integrity. You cannot blackmail a man who has nothing to hide.

“Dr. Otuaro is protected by his record, his conscience and the prayers of the Niger Delta people, especially the prayers of widows and orphans whose hopes he has restored.”

The group called on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue to stand with the the PAP boss whom they said was delivering the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of the president with honesty, transparency and results.

“Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, we are proud of you. The Ijaw nation is proud of you. The Niger Delta is proud of you. Continue to lead with vision. Continue to lead with integrity. Continue to lead with dignity.

“History will remember you as the Administrator who cleaned PAP, restored its honour, and rekindled the hope of a generation,” the statement added.
