Otu Defeats Onor in Cross River Governorship Race

Senator Bassey Otu of the All Progressives Congress APC, has been declared winner of the just concluded 2023 Governorship Election in Cross River State.
The result was declared at the state collation centre, INEC office Calabar on Monday afternoon.
According to the Returning Officer, Professor Teddy Charles Adias, the APC candidate Otu scored 258,619 votes while, Sandy Onor of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, scored 179,636 votes.
“That Otu Bassey Edet, of the APC haven satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared winner and returned elected”.
In his comments, state chairman of the APC , Alphonsus Ogar Eba, said, “it is a big legacy, that power has returned to the south, it is a seamless transition.”
