CP Vows To Arrest Killers Of Rivers APC Chieftain

Condemnations have continued to trail the gruesome murder of the All Progressives Congress APC Campaign Director General in Ahoada-West Local Council, Rivers State, Mr. Chisom Lenard.
Lenard was allegedly shot dead while trying to prevent suspected hoodlums from hijacking election materials during the governorship and state house of assembly elections, on Saturday.
The Commissioner of Police in-charge of the election duties in Rivers State Command, Mr. Echeng Echeng has vowed to bring perpetrators of the act to book.
The CP, while giving an assurance of diligent investigation and justice, tasked operatives of the Command to deploy all necessary human and investigative assets to ensure that the killers of the Campaign Director-General for the APC in Ahoada-West in Rivers State, Hon. Chisom Lenard, are brought to book.
The command, in a release made available to TNN from the office of the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-koko, explained that, “from information gathered, the Campaign DG was shot by yet to be identified gunmen in the afternoon of Saturday 18th March, 2023.
