Monarch Sympathises With Victims, Condemns Shooting of Soldiers In Rivers Community

The Monarch of Igbu Orlukwor Clan in the Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Prince Ike Ehie, has sympathised with the military high command over the alleged shooting of some soldiers on duty at Okporowo Community.
Ehie, who is the Eze Igbu Orlukwor 11, also expressed his sympathy to the government and victims of the attack and prayed that God would heal them speedily.
The incident was reported to have occured about 11am on Monday, when suspected cult members opened fire on military personnel guarding crude oil pipeline.
The traditional ruler of Orlukwor which consist of Odiabidi, Okporowo and other communities, vehemently condemned the alleged shooting by those he described as miscreants.
He described as an affront and insult on constituted authorities for civilians under any guise to shoot at military officers on their constitutionally assigned responsibilities.
While calling on the government to fish out the perpetrators, he urged security agencies to exhibit utmost professionalism and avoid the suffering of innocent sons and daughters of Orlukwor Kingdom, being a peaceful and hospitable kingdom.
The traditional ruler stated this in a release by the Head, Information and Documentation, Mr. Oyagiri Chime-emele.
The Orlukwor royal father promised that his kingdom would work in synergy with the security agencies to put an end to the illegal proliferation of arms amongst the youths.
He warned that “henceforth, every community paramount ruler should protect public interest and avoid security breaches by miscreants that would compromise the kingdom’s security, or otherwise face dire consequences, including outright removal.
“I pray that God in His infinite mercy lay His healing hands on the injured for quick and outright recovery.”
