44 corps members out of the 2,361 deployed to Rivers State to serve the one year National Youth Service Corps NYSC, under the 2025 Batch B Stream 1 have been sanctioned.
35 of them made up of 21 males and 14 females are to serve extension of service while nine made up of seven males and two females will repeat the entire service year.
Meanwhile, two others; a male and female will be honoured with the prestigious State Honour Award for the impacts made in their host communities.
This was revealed by the state NYSC Public Relations Officer, Mr Christian Okereke at the low-key passing out parade held at the Isaac Boro Park, Port Harcourt.
Here’s a smoother, more polished version of your paragraph:
During the event, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, expressed disappointment over the conduct of the corps members that led to their sanctions.
Oleghe also urged those who successfully completed their service year to uphold the ideals and core values of the NYSC scheme.
“Continue to uphold the ideals of NYSC as you climb the ladder of life.
“Remember the ideals of patriotism, discipline, honesty, integrity, commitment, and dedication to duty. Please, l imbibe and uphold it in your daily lives in order to build a successful life and career.”
The NYSC boss appreciated the tremendous support of the governor, Siminalayi Fubara and the good people of the state in creating a conducive environment for the corps members to excel and appealed for its sustenance
He also noted that “the service year recorded zero death to the glory of God.”
