As part of measures to boost public engagement, internal communication and strengthen security, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has announced the officially launch of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Vigilant App and MTN Closed User Group (CUG) Network.
The initiative which will be launched on Tuesday, at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre, FCT, Abuja, is part of the NPF’s ongoing efforts to strengthen technology-driven policing, enhance communication and improve operational efficiency across the force.
The NPF Vigilant App is designed to support improved engagement, information sharing and communication between the police and members of the public.
The MTN CUG Network will provide a dedicated communication platform to facilitate seamless and efficient communication among personnel of the force.
The launch underscores the commitment of the IGP to leveraging modern technology and strategic partnerships to enhance policing, strengthen internal coordination and improve service delivery to Nigerians.
NPF remains committed to harnessing technology, innovation and strategic partnerships to strengthen policing, enhance operational effectiveness and deliver more responsive, efficient and people-centred security services to Nigerians.
