As Nigerians continue to mourn the demise of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, who died on July 13 at age 82 in a London hospital, the Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, has paid his own tribute.

Enoh who described Buhari’s passing as a moment of deep national grief, revealed the sacrifices the late president made for the country, adding that Nigeria would miss him.

He said Buhari served Nigeria with clarity of purpose and uncommon resolve.

“I join millions of Nigerians in paying tribute to a man whose life reflected a profound sense of duty, discipline, and unshaken commitment to the Nigerian nation.

“From the military era to his two-term democratic leadership, president Buhari remained steadfast in his vision for a stronger, united, and more accountable Nigeria.

“He will be remembered for his efforts to reposition the country through infrastructure renewal, agricultural expansion, and his tireless campaign against corruption in public life.”

The minister said Buhari’s style of leadership was “austere, principled, and focused on institutional reform.

“Beyond politics, president Buhari was a symbol of national conscience. His modesty, personal discipline, and simplicity stood out in a time when these values are increasingly rare in public leadership.

“As we mourn his loss, we also honour a man who gave his all for the peace and progress of Nigeria. May Allah grant his soul eternal rest and comfort his family, loved ones, and every Nigerian who feels the weight of this loss.”
