The Vice Chancellor of the Bayelsa State owned Niger Delta University (NDU) Amassoma, Prof. Allen Agih says the institution will soon experience at least 20-hour power supply.
The vice chancellor disclosed this while delivering an address during the launching of three books written by the president of the Students Union Government (SUG), Comrade David Dauduokumor.
Agih disclosed that arrangement had been make with the management of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company to ensure improved electricity in the citadel of studies.
The VC also commended the SUG president for writing three books despite his tedious academic curriculum as an Engineering student.
The three books launched were “The 5 Principles of Success,” “Histories of Success” and “Steps in Building a Successful Poultry” all written by the SUG president.
The vice chancellor equally commended the current leadership of the SUG for its cordial relationship with the institution’s management as well as maintaining peaceful disposition.
The books author, Dauduokumor said he was inspired by listening to words and literary works of great leaders.
He added that for young Nigerians to become great leaders, they must be involved in leadership process studying which entails academic excellence and obedience to constituted authorities.
Founder of Project New Nigeria and chairman of the occasion, Samuel Nzidee commended the SUG president for showing exemplary leadership.
The occasion which featured lectures on the character of a leader also witnessed awards of excellence to individuals who have distinguished themselves in contributing to academic development.
