How Tinubu-Akpabio Synergy Is Fertilizing Economic Growth In Nigeria -Ekpenyong

The senator representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong has spoken of the gains being enjoyed by Nigerians as a result of the synergy between the senate led by Senator Godswill Akpabio and the Nigerian president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ekpenyong who has been recognised in various circles for what people call a robust representation in the senate, spoke while addressing the 150th session of the Inter Parliamentary Union, IPU, in Tashken, Uzebekistan.
Speaking under the theme ‘Parliamentary action for development’, Ekpenyong said Nigeria and Nigerians were on the path to steady economic growth because the legislature and the executive were on the same page in the consideration and handling of development issues.
He said that given the current global economic and social climate, the steps being taken by Tinubu and supported by parliamentary actions from the Senator Godswill Akpabio led National Assembly, the efforts to provide safety nets for the less privileged and build a more just and inclusive society were gaining significant traction.

According to him, Nigeria had established the Consumer Credit Corporation, which provides access to structured, low-interest credit; enacted the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) aimed at expanding access to higher education by providing interest-free loans to eligible students.
He also said the country had doubled the monthly allowances for corps members under the National Youth Service Corps, as a way of not only boosting their morale, but to also grow the economy
He expressed confidence in Nigeria’s ability to continuously make progress toward achieving social justice, inclusive development and lasting peace for all citizens, while also thanking the IPU for its invaluable work in nurturing synergy among national parliaments.
