Over Joyous Arsenal Fan Slumps, Dies After Real Madrid Defeat


As a top Arsenal fan, h is joy knew no bounds after his club scored one, then two and then three goals in their Tuesday match against Real Madrid in their entertaining and breath-taking Champions League duel.
Bur while other excited fans went home alive, a police inspector serving in Calabar, Stephen Enang, did not make it home. The end of the thrilling encounter was also the end of his life.
As the referee blew the final whistle to signal the end of the match, Enang, a native of Ekori in the Yakurr Local Government Area remained on his seat at the viewing centre, his body stiff and cold.
He died, maybe out of excitement. Those who know him at the Akim Police Station where he served, said he was a die-hard Arsenal fan.

Eyewitnesses said he was visibly ecstatic during the match, jumping in celebration after each goal.
He was said to have been rushed to the Police Hospital in Akim, but efforts to revive him failed and was confirmed dead.
