Meanwhile, APC Chieftain in the state, Chuks Agube has said the election was marred by gross inadequacies as election materials for two wards in Abi Local Government Area were still in the custody of the people.
“The materials are in our custody. The only thing we don’t have are the result sheets, every other thing are in our custody.
“They did not even thumbprint even one single thing. There was no single printing of ballot paper and they did not vote anything at all in Igbo Imabana Ward 1 and 2 and Ekureku Ward 1 and 2 of Abi Local Government Area.
“They only removed result sheets, filled it and submitted to CROSIEC. All other materials are with us; we took them to the police station and when we got there we didn’t see anyone,”Agube revealed.
“There was a mass protest involving over 17,000 voters in Ekureku ward 1 & 2 as well as Igbo Imabana ward 1 & 2, both in Abi Local Government Area over alleged fake election result sheets during the election on Saturday.
