The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, has bagged more awards and honorary recognitions following his contributions to the development of the Niger Delta region.

Most recent of these recognition is the award presented to him on Sunday, by a socio-political, economic and philanthropic organisation known as the Green Walkers.

Ogbuku was presented the award in recognition of his outstanding leadership style and commitment to public service.

This is coming barely three days after the Nigerian Institute of Management NIM, conferred it’s highest professional membership grade, Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Management FNIM, on the NDDC boss.

These honours underscore Ogbuku’s dedication to advancing the Commission’s mandate and improving the lives of people across the region.

The organization led by its president, Mr. Martins Alabo, were received during a courtesy visit to Ogbuku, the Daufa V1 of Ayakoro community, at his hometown.

Alabo noted that, “our visit was triggered by the MD’s numerous contributions to the development of the Niger Delta region.

“The performance scorecard of HRH Samuel Ogbuku, compelled the leadership of the Green Walkers to give an award and a customised Green Walker’s clock to the MD as part of effort to appreciate him for his developmental strides across the region.

“We also brought cake to properly celebrate with the MD on his birthday, though belated.”

In his response, excited Ogbuku appreciated the association for the award, noting that the award will serve as a reminder for him to do more for his society, state and the entire region.
