Wike was speaking about Ayu’s audacity to remain in office even after failing to deliver the PDP in his polling unit, ward, local government, state and at the presidential election at the inauguration of phase one of the Trans-Kalabari Road.
Making reference to Ayu’s resignation, Wike said he had always told him that he would be forced out of the office. He said Ayu must been living in a fool’s paradise to think that he was going to survive the heat.
The governor said the same process that led to the ouster of Uche Secondus as chairman of the party was what was adopted to deal with him and wondered why Ayu thought he would remain chairman after his ward had suspended him.
Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde who inaugurated the road project had commended Wike for his thirst for projects and said as he warms up for a second term, he would strive to work like Wike.
