Take Advantage of Police Control Room Numbers, Rivers CP Tells Varsity Mgt., Parents, Students

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka, has charged students, parents and management of Rivers State University to take advantage of the police control room numbers for reporting suspicious activities.
Nwonyi gave this charge in a release made available to TNN by the police public relations officer, Grace Iringe-Koko.
Tension As Robbers Invade Rivers Varsity Female Hostel, Rape, injure Students
He stated this while reacting to the armed robbery attack at the female hostels of the state university.
Recall that female hostels of the university were attacked on Thursday, some female students were raped, others severely injured and properties such as phones, laptops, money carted away by the robbers.

The CP directed the DC Operations, Area Commander, Port Harcourt, and the DPO Nkpolu to provide adequate security on the campus.
