The Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta, MOSIEND, has described the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, as a selfless leader.

MOSIEND, while eulogizing Ogbuku as he clocks another year, on Saturday, also described the NDDC boss as a beacon of hope.

Speaking on-behalf of the pan Niger Delta group, the National President, Mr. Kennedy Tonjo-West, expressed what he described as an unflinching gratitude to God for adding another year to Ogbuku.

Tonjo-West continued that the NDDC boss deserved every good and perfect gift, on his birthday and beyond, following his, “uncommon interest and commitment to the development of the Niger Delta and its people.” He prayed God to keep him strong and grant him more years on earth to continue to affect lives meaningfully.

The MOSIEND president said, “Ogbuku is worth celebrating because he has demonstrated what true and selfless leadership is all about within the few period he has manned the affairs of the NDDC; giving the people of the region, especially the youths reasons to believe in themselves and support the growth and economic stability of the region.

“Ogbuku is a man with an uncommon interest and commitment to the development of the Niger Delta and its people; MOSIEND is praying God to keep him strong and grant him more years on earth to continue to affect lives meaningfully.

Don’t Fight Over NDDC, MOSIEND Tells Niger Delta Ministers

“The NDDC boss has been many things to youths and that is why the region is peaceful under his tenure, unlike the past where protests were the order of the day. We urge other leaders of the region occupying one position or the other to emulate the sterling leadership style of Dr. Ogbuku who has been touching lives positively in any position he occupies; irrespective of political affiliation.

“As we wish the NDDC boss a super-duper birthday celebration, we pray God to raise more men in the Niger Delta to be like Samuel Ogbuku who is caring, loving, humble, peaceful, hospitable, a giver, a peace-maker, an exemplary leader, result-oriented, honest and very concerned about the development of his people, so that the region can grow at an accelerated pace.”
