Rivers Police Nab Woman Who Allegedly Offered 5-Year Child For Sale

Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a woman accused of attempting to sale a 5-year-old boy at a popular market in Bishop Okoye Street in the Mile 3 axis of Port Harcourt.
The command Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident also assured members of the public that the Police has started investigating the matter.
Iringe-Koko explained that “The woman was brought to the station by some persons who alleged she came to the market to sell her child.
“We are investigating the matter to ascertain the veracity of the eyewitness’ claims. Meanwhile, the woman is still with the police.”
Recall that on Saturday, a woman whose identity was revealed simply as Onyinye took a child(boy) to a popular market in Bishop Okoye Street in the Mile 3 axis of Port Harcourt.
It was gathered that some traders confronted the woman and found out that she was allegedly trying to sale the child.
The traders who doubted if the child was hers however took the woman to the police station to report the matter, leading to the latter’s arrest.
One of the traders who pleaded anonymity said, “The way I see the woman I don’t think she is normal because of how she was acting.”
