The governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the reconstitution of the governing councils of the Rivers State University RSU, and the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education IAUE.
This was contained in a statement made available to TNN on Monday, by the secretary to the state government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo.
The statement revealed that the governor appointed Hon. Justice Mary Odili (rtd) to be the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the governing council of RSU.
Members of the governing council of RSU appointed by Fubara are; Barr. Mela Oforibika, Chukwuma A.J. Chinwo, Esq., Adata Bio-Briggs, Esq., Dr. Jonathan Nimi Hart.
Other members are Ngo Martins-Yellowe, Dr. Robinson N. Ewoh, Dr. Nancy Nwankwo, Dr. Igoni William-Park and Mr. Ogbugbu Samuel Barisua.
For the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, he appointed Chief Adokiye Amiesemaka as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman.
Members are Dr. Iboh Okidim, Prof. Jason Osai, Prof. Ijeoma F.V. Akpu, Dr. Akabue Godson Ugochukwu, Mrs. Mmeme Gogo-Adiari and Hon. Dominic Sata.
The statement further revealed that their appointments take effect immediately.
