The gubernatorial election results collated so far by INEC in Rivers State reveals that the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Siminalayi Fubara has won all nine Local Government areas announced so far.
The votes announced by the Returning Electoral Commissioners from Tai, Opobo/Nkoro, Gokana, Ogu/Gbolo, Eleme, Ikwerre, Oyigbo, Etche and Khana local government areas revealed that the PDP candidate is likely to emerge with a landslide Victory.
So far, some opposition party agents have vehemently condemned the result, saying it is unacceptable.
They are calling on INEC to cancel the results and announce a rerun of the election.
Speaking with TNN in an interview, the African Democratic Congress ADC Rivers State collation agent, Hon. Eke Iheanyi Eugene said, “you can see what we have been talking about, that it seems like the REC and the INEC management here are so much in a haste to announce who is the winner.
Rivers Guber: SDP Raise The Alarm Over Alleged Fake Result Sheet
“We have issues of places where our agents were clearly denied access to collation centres and here we are results are been announced. Where are these results coming from?
“Your doubt is as good as mine, where are the results coming from? The electoral act clearly states that the first process is the polling unit, when the whole election is concluded in the polling units, the result will be posted, handed over to party agent, from there to the ward, from the ward to the local government areas. But what we saw was from the polling units, results were taken out, there were no collections, even the local government collation.
“I am from Ikwerre, I personally went round. In places like Ikwerre, our agents were denied access to the collation centres, now where are these results coming from? So, it’s important that the world know that these results are not acceptable.”
