Pray For Me, Lagos To PH Marathon Runner Urges Nigerians

The 28-year-old Rivers born, Promise Wosu Junior, who is on a 606killometre marathon race from Lagos to Port Harcourt, has urged Nigerians to say a prayer for him.

He also appealed to those castigating him for embarking on the race to eschew what he described as hate and encourage his faith.

Promise who is popularly known as Wene Port Harcourt made this appeal as he arrived Benin City, the capital of Edo State, on Wednesday.

The B.Sc degree holder in Accounting, from the University of Port Harcourt, who kicked-off the race 5am on Tuesday, hails from Omudioga Community, in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria.

He said amidst the disbelief and doubts, negativity and curiosity that, “I’m aimed at setting a pace, it isn’t an easy adventure but determined to set the record straight.

“What seem impossible will be a reality, our abilities got no limits if we believe and put in the hard work. Together we can achieve this.

“Your supports been my greatest source of motivation, together we can, not an easy fit, got to do it with my feet, soon we meet.

“Say a prayer for me, leave the hate and encourage the faith.”
