In a bid to ensure total decongestion of the road, Cross River State Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Out, has issued quit notice to all roadside traders along the Watt Market Roundabout and environs.
The governor in a release made available to TNN by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Ogbeche, explained that in addition to decongesting the road, the evacuation order was to allow for proper planning of the area by the state government.
According to Prince Otu, the evacuation notice is with effect from Monday, October 26, 2023. He urged Market associations in the market to advise their members accordingly, while security operatives are to enforce the order.
