On First Day, Lagos To PH Marathon Runner Arrives Ogun

Lagos to Port Harcourt marathon runner, Promise Wosu Junior, popularly known as Wene Port Harcourt, has arrived Ogun State.

The 28-year-old Rivers State born graduate of the Department of Accounting, University of Port Harcourt, kicked-off the race by 5am on Tuesday, from Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos State.

By arriving Ogun, he was said to have covered a total of 59km out of the 606km, which is the world’s largest distance covered on foot.

Shortly before he commenced, the runner said, “I have just started my adventure and I have touch Ogun. Together we arrive at the destination, keep up with us as we take you on the tour 247.

“Disbelief and doubts, negativity and curiosity but I’m aimed at setting a pace, it isn’t an easy adventure but determined to set the record straight, I will be embarking on this mission.

Recall, that the Ikwerre born Promise had assured every one that he would be running from Lagos to Port Harcourt, from the 17th to 21st October, 2023, covering a total of 606km on foot.
