In his effort to consolidate governance structures, the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed two senior officials into key positions within the state administration.
Those appointed are Dr. Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Mr Sunny Ewule as the Chief of Staff COS.
The new appointees would be sworn in at 2:00pm on Thursday, at the Exco Chamber of the Government House, Port Harcourt.
According to the governor, both appointments are with immediate effect as revealed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Onwuka Nzeshi.
The statement reads; “Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has appointed Dr Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister Sunny Ewule as the Chief of Staff (COS). Both appointments are with immediate effect.
“The new appointees will be sworn in at 2:00 pm today, Thursday February 26, 2026. The swearing- in ceremony will take place at the Exco Chamber, Government House, Port Harcourt.”
