MOSIEND Urges Fubara To Reactivate RSSDA, TIMARIV, To Create Employment

Kalabari Clans Chairmen of the Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta MOSIEND, in Rivers State, have urged the state governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara to reactivate the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency RSSDA.
They also charged Fubara to reactive Rivers State Traffic Management Agency TIMARIV and other strategic governmental agencies to create employment opportunities and economic rejuvenation.
This was stated in a communique issued at the end of MOSIEND chairmen of Kalabari Clans meeting held on Sunday, at the MOSIEND office in Port Harcourt.
The statement was made available to TNN on Tuesday on behalf of Obuama Clan Chairman-Mr. Young-Harry, Deinso Anthony, Oguruama Clan Chairman-Mr. Alabo Tienabueso, Elem Sangama Chairman-Mr Iyowuna Wokoma, Ag. Chairman Buguma Clan-Mr. Mark Ojuka.
It read “we recognize the importance of brethren dwelling together in peace and harmony as this is something we all so need. As a people, we saw it wise to meet and discuss some teething issues troubling or State, Region and Country and resolved as follows;
“1. We commend Gov. Sim Fubara for his commitment to commence the critical 2nd Phase of the Trans-Kalabari Highway which upon completion will bring about accelerated development in the area.
“2. We commend Gov. Sim Fubara for his Civil Service friendly disposition like the end of year gifts and promotion that was deprived them for so many years.
“3. We strongly urge Gov. Sim Fubara to use his good offices in reactivating the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), Rivers State Traffic Management Agency (TIMARIV) and other strategic governmental agencies to create employment opportunities and economic rejuvenation.
“4. We commend Alabo Edi Abali of Kalabari, Alhaji Asari Dokubo for his immense contribution in promotion of sociocultural, economic and educational advancement in Kalabari Kingdom, dedicated effort alongside other security agencies at restoring security in the Emouha-Kalabari road which hitherto has caused loss of lives and properties of indigiens and residents of the area, causing developmental setbacks.
“5. We commend Hon. Mpaka Botoye, Chairman, Daa 3 Cluster Board for his stewardship and doggedness in steering the cluster Board to realize it’s objectives and chatting the template for development of the region.
“6. We salute the team spirit that was at play during the preparation and burial of our highly revered King, His Serene Majesty, King Prof. T. J. T Princewill, Amayanabo of Kalabari and we urge all Kalabari’s to continue in oneness and do everything possible in developing the Kalabari Kingdom.
“7. We admonish all Stakeholders in ensuring peace in our State and for the governor to be given all the needed support in steering the wheel of governance without distractions and unnecessary bickerings.
“8. We remain committed to the leadership of MOSIEND and shall continue to work in the direction of peace and development of our People, Region, State and Nation. God bless us all.”
