The Rivers State Police command says it has identified and arrested police personnel accused of 3000 Dollars extortion.
This was made known to TNN in a release made available by the Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko.
Iringe-Koko affirmed that the command was aware of the situation and explained that investigation had commenced.
The PPRO in the release titled, “Re: $3000 USDT Transferred To Police Officers WALLET” explained that “the police personnel have been identified and arrested while the investigation is in progress.”
She further promised that the outcome of the investigation would be made public as soon as it is concluded.
Recall that one Mr. Harrison Gwamnishu, in his X handle @HarrisonBbi18 twitted that “police officers attached to Rivers State Police command left Port Harcourt to Aba, Abia State, arrested the man, took him to Rivers State, Bayelsa State and entered Ughelli, Delta State. After paying 3000 USDT, they moved him back to Port Harcourt and dumped him.”
Video of the statement was also posted by him on same X handle.
