Jonathan Receives Own Copy Of Local Content Book

A former president of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan has been presented with his copy of the  trending book “Nigeria’s Local Content: A Journey of Strategic Communication and Economic Transformation, authored by the acting general manager, corporate communications, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, Dr Obinna Ezeobi.

It was Jonathan that signed the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Bill into law in April 2010, barely two months in office. With the enactment of that law, the NCDMB was born.

Ezeobi’s presentation of the book to the former president was therefore in recognition of the role he played in the birth of the NCDMB, which is believed to have catalysed the management of local content, especially in the oil and gas industry of the country.

Minister of state(oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and his gas counterpart, Ekperikpe Ekpo, the executive secretary of the board, Felix Omatsola Ogbe and his predecessor, Simbi Wabote, the Special Advisor to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Energy, Mrs. Olu Verheijen, as well as the pioneer Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Dr. Ernest Nwapa had earlier got their copies and had hailed Ezeobi for the thoughtfulness in writing the book.
