Police Assures Corps Members Of Safety

The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police incharge of Zone 16, comprising Bayelsa and Rivers States, Abubakar Zubairu has assured Corps members serving in the zonal command of adequate security.

The AIG gave the assurance when members of the National Association of Catholic Corps Members (NACC) paid him a courtesy call at the zonal headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

During the visit, the AIG expressed his appreciation to the association for the courtesy call and commended its efforts in promoting discipline, integrity and moral values among corps members.

The AIG assured residents within zone 16 command of his unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property.

He emphasized that the command would continue to strengthen security measures, enhance intelligence gathering and work closely with communities and other stakeholders to combat crime and maintain law and order.

Zubairu also encouraged officers of the zone to remain professional, dedicated and respectful in the discharge of their duties while upholding the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.

The leader of the association, Eze Kingsley Chidera thanked the AIG for the warm reception and pledged the continued support and prayers of the association for the success of the AIG’s leadership and the safety of all officers under his command.

According to a statement by the zonal Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Gunn Ewhobowho, the visit ended with prayers and presentation of a commemorative gift.
