Father Blames Son’s Alleged Drug Abuse for Death of 5-Year-Old Daughter, Two Siblings

A certain 28-year-old Mr Femi Agbeye, has been arrested by the Ondo State Police command, for allegedly attacking and killing his five years old daughter and two of his female siblings.

The incident, was said to have happened on April 8, 2026, at the Agbeye family residence on Doctor’s Road, Okitipupa government reserved area, Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Police ongoing investigation, the suspect was said to have gained access to the apartment, locked himself inside and carried out the attack.

Father of the accused, Mr Ade Agbeye, when speaking with NTA crew during a visit at the scene, claimed that his son has a history of substance abuse and prior violent threats against family members.

His words: “He had been involved in the use of illicit substances and had been threatening to kill his mother and me for some time.

“The situation escalated fatally on the day of the incident. When we entered the house, we saw the bodies of the children on the floor in their mother’s room. I immediately went to the police to inform them about the incident.

“He had previously been arrested but was released against my wishes before going on to commit this heinous act.”

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Abayomi, revealed that investigation was ongoing.

“The command assures the good people of Ondo State, particularly from Okitipupa, that due diligence will be carried out in this case and nobody should be apprehensive or raise any unnecessary alarm.

“The command would ensure justice is served. The command is capable, and we will ensure that justice is served.”
