“The Federal Government that initiated various intervention funds to bail out other sectors is not bothered about the current state of the media. Why should it be worried? The media play the role of a watchdog. Our constitution gives us the power to hold government to account. However, a sick and hungry watchdog wouldn’t be in a position to watch anything when faced with the challenge of survival. Some of the people we are expecting to hold accountable would even pray for this scenario to continue in perpetuity.”

He further encourage thus, “Colleagues, we will keep doing our job no matter the challenge we face, and we are going to survive.”
