Ekweremadu’s Conviction frightening, says Ndoma-Egba

A former senate leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has expressed concerns over Thursday’s conviction of a former senate president, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
Ekweremadu was convicted alongside his wife and doctor by a UK court over allegations of organ harvesting. He has been trial in the last six months.

In an online interview with TNN on Thursday, Ndoma-Egba expressed the hope that the senator would have the opportunity to appeal against the judgement.
He said “it is said that justice is cold but this has frightening dimensions. Any parent could be in his situation. I pray and hope for the possibility of an appeal.”
