Edo Native Bags Award Of Excellence In Rivers’ Community

It was jubilation galore in the Eneka Clan of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State following the award of excellence presented to Mr. Azenabor James from Edo State by the leadership of the Rumuowha Community Development Committee.
The award was for single handedly filling the dilapidated section of the road at Rumuekpolu Market linking the GU Ake road popularly known as Eneka-OPM link road which has been a major threat to users.

Accompanied by the immediate past Rumuekporlu royal family chairman, Anthony Nwachukwu Ejekwe, Prince ThankGod Amadi, Eberechi Chukwu and other stakeholders of the community, the Rumuowha CDC Chairman, Chief Owhonda Woka said that Azenabor deserved the award for the numerous selfless services he rendered to the community.
According to Owhonda, “Today, the 16th day of December 2020, the Rumuowha Community Development Committee is presenting an award of excellence to Mr. Azenabor James, in honor of his numerous selfless services towards the growth and development of the community.
“We are indeed very happy, infact my name now is joy but not Mrs. Joy (laughs), we are happy and satisfied over the numerous selfless services rendered by Mr. Azenabor James who is from Edo State but resides here in Eneka.
“We thank him for his numerous sacrifice and especially for single handedly filling up the damaged road spot at Rumuekpolu Market linking the GU Ake road popularly known as OPM road with hardcore, making it accessible for both vehicular and pedestrian movements.
In his response, Mr. Azenabor James thanked the leadership of Rumuowha CDC for finding him worthy of such honor, while pledging to do better works for the growth and development of the community.
His words: “I have never been honoured like this before by any person or group of persons, my heart is filled with joy and gladness for this great privilege to receive such an honour from the community.”
