

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, on Monday received the Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, alongside Mr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo and other prominent stakeholders at the Government House in Yenagoa.
The delegation led by Tompolo who is the chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited included Mr. Julius Pondi, Mr. Kestin Pondi, Mr. Joshua Machaiver, Pastor Ruben Wilson, and Mr. Paul Eris also known as Ogunbos, among others.
Diri was joined by his deputy, Mr Peter Akpe, the Acting Chief of Staff, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, the APC State chairman, Mr. Warman Ogoriba, member representing Southern Ijaw Constituency I, Mr. Felix Bonny Ayah, commissioner for education, Mr. Gentle Emelah, commissioner for transport, Preye Brodrick, and other top government officials.
Welcoming the delegation, the governor emphasized the importance of unity, solidarity, and sustained brotherhood among the Ijaw people, regardless of political or ideological differences.
He expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a reflection of enduring kinship and mutual respect.
“I appreciate my brother governor from Taraba State and my kinsmen for this visit. It underscores the importance of strengthening our bond of brotherhood from time to time for the continuity of our shared heritage as Ijaw people,” Diri stated.
The visit is seen as a significant gesture of solidarity and collaboration among key leaders, to reinforce ties within and beyond the region.
