C’River North: Appeal Court Decides On Jarigbe-Odey Appeal Saturday

A full panel of the court of appeal justices will tomorrow (Saturday) give a judgement on the judgement review application filed by Dr Steve Odey who was last week sacked by the same court of appeal in Calabar.
Odey had returned to the same appellate court asking for a review of the judgement of the court. He filed his appeal at Abuja.
On Thursday, the appeal court justices led my the president of the court of appeal, Justice Monica Mensem Dongban presided over when the matter was brought up. She is also expected to sit over the case tomorrow, with the other four justices.
The judgement is slated to be delivered by 10am, according to one of the lawyers, Mr Mba Ukweni, SAN.
He told TNN over the telephone that his team was in very high spirit because he was sure that the court could not review its judgement.
A few days ago, the INEC had issued a fresh certificate of return to Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe in compliance with the court of appeal judgment which declared him winner of the Cross River North Senatorial District election.
