C’River Communities Endorse Onor As Next Governor

 

 

 

 

 

Stakeholders from Bendeghe-Ekiem community in Etung comprising royal fathers, academia, age grade unions, and policy makers within the public and private sectors in Bendeghe-Ekiem have endorsed the candidature of Senator Sandy Onor, the standard bearer of the People Democratic Party (PDP), in Cross River State ahead the forthcoming governorship election billed for March 11th, 2023.

 

 

 

 

Speaking during a solidarity visit to PDP governorship hopeful at his Calabar residence, the leader of the delegation and former vice chairman of Etung, Ayuk Tandu described the aspiration of Senator Onor as the last hope of Cross River State against imminent collapse arising from the havoc wrecked on the state by the administration of Governor Ben Ayade.

According to Tandu, Onor has “demonstrated capacity, competence, vision and tenacity of purpose to redeem the state from the current precarious situation of despair and agony”
The former council vice chairman stated that Onor has a track record of impressive performance in public office spanning from his tenure as a local government chairman, chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Agriculture and Environment Commissioner as well as the Senator representing Cross River Central at the 9th Senate.

 

 

 

 

Also speaking, the House of Assembly Candidate for Etung State Constituency, Pastor Obi Ebam Ndep called on the community to mobilise Bendeghe-Ekiem sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora as well as residents of the community en mass to vote for the PDP not only to ensure the victory of Senator Onor but also in appreciation of his huge developmental stride in the community.

Responding, Onor thanked the delegation for the endorsement and assured them of his burning desire to restore the eroded glory of the state if voted into power.
In the same vein, the leadership of PDP, Ogep Ward in Boki LGA has reiterated her unalloyed support and commitment to the aspiration of the Governorship Candidate of the PDP, Senator Prof Sandy Ojang Onor in a bid to reclaim Cross River State.

 

 

 

 

They made the disclosure when she led a delegation on a visit to the PDP candidate at his residence in Calabar.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the ward leader, Joe Tati described Onor as a true friend of Ogep Ward and Boki Nation at large with the requisite capacity and wherewithal to reclaim and restore Cross River State.

He thanked the senator for his numerous developmental projects in Ogep Ward and Boki, as he listed; the renovation of St Patrick’s Parish School, Bafin/Etintim, construction of drainage system at Okundi Junction, installation of solar powered street lights, rehabilitation work at Ekpogrinya-Okundi and the proposed Ogep-Borom road drainage system, among other projects.

 

 

 

Also speaking, the Caterpillar Movement Coordinator for Ogep Ward, Mr Richard Asu Odok, assured Onor of bloc votes from Ogep Ward and Boki in general as would be shown on the report card from the various wards across the LGA.
Responding, Onor thanked the ward for the acknowledgement and also reiterated his commitment to restore the lost glory of the state when voted into office.
