Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Elvert Ayambem, has charged the member representing Akpabuyo, Bakassi, and Calabar South Federal Constituency Joseph Archibong Bassey, to be magnanimous.
Ayambem, while describing Archibong as ‘God’s project in motion’, charged him to carry everyone along.
According to him, “as I appreciate the decision of the people of our constituency to stand by the amiable lawmaker, I also want to urge him to ensure he delivers the dividends of democracy to the people.
“Honourable Bassey is God’s anointed man and a project in motion. His choice will be of great benefit to the people of the state.
“I want to appeal for total support and cooperation from all and sundry in ensuring that the good work of Bassey will continue to pave way for greater opportunity to the constituency.”
In reaction to this, Archibong promised to work meticulously in a bid to bring the true dividends of democracy to the people.
While thanking God for what he described as a successful election and inauguration, the legislator reinstated his commitment towards revamping his constituency for the best.
