The newly posted Commissioner of Police to the Bayelsa State Command, Mr. Ajao Saka Adewale, has vowed to sustain and improve on the existing peace and security in the State.
Bayelsa State is adjudged as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria with people going about their businesses day or night without fear of being attacked.
The feat is being attributed to the current state governor, Senator Douye Diri’ collaboration in financial and moral support to security agencies in the State.
The commissioner, on Monday, held a briefing with the management team of the state command at its headquarters, Yenagoa, the State capital.
The meeting focused on reviewing the security architecture and situation across the State, assessing ongoing operations, and strengthening strategies for effective, intelligence-led policing.
The CP used the medium to charge members of the management team to remain professional, proactive, accountable, and committed to maintaining peace and security throughout Bayelsa State.
The commissioner also urged the general public to be security alert and report every suspicious movement around their vicinity to the police.
