President of the Seventh-day Adventist church in Cross River Conference, Pastor Edy Ewoh has charged security personnel to solely rely on God for victory. He gave the admonition during a security service day worship held at the church’s headquarters in Calabar in commemoration of this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
Speaking on the topic, “The Shepherd And The Shield”, the clergy expounded on the book of Psalms 23 where he reminded them of the need to take God on His promises and make Him their shield and buckler as they discharge their duties.
He reminded them that God has ordained them to be in the temple of security. He tasked them to always understand that it is out of the Lord’s mercy that no evil has befallen them.
While appreciating their efforts in maintaining law and order in the country, he encouraged them to keep their hands clear from every form of corrupt related practices. He further offered special prayers for them.
