The member representing Abi / Yakurr Federal Constituency in the House Of Representatives Dr Alex Egbona has received traditional blessings from the clan heads of Igbo Imabana community Abi Local Government Area Cross River State, ahead of his re-election.
Egbona who was accompanied by a large crowd comprising men, women, children and youths was ushered into the palace amidst cheers.
Speaking during the event, Chief Elvis Aboli said “Egbona is a son of the soil, hence people of the community should vote for him in the elections”.
According to him, Egbona had facilitated the building of a school and also created employment opportunities for the people.
He said “let me start with Dr Alex Egbona, our representative at the national level. You are all welcome as members and families of the All Progressive Congress (APC) the people’s party.
“Chief you are not new in the terrain, you are a son of the soil. No matter the storm, we have seen your footprints, you don’t need to sing your song or dance your dance, rather let the people dance on your behalf.

“Yes the terrain maybe rough but I believe this second voyage, your first experience in the reps will make it easier. When you get going, it is tough. But it is the slow and steady that gets the prize. You will definitely get there, go and succeed.”
In his remarks, the lawmaker appreciated the r fathers for their steadfastness and promised to deliver only on people oriented projects. You already have an overhead tank. Once I get re-elected, I will provide the water.
“I sent many persons for skills acquisitions, provided and created jobs for you my people, I also gave business owners support and provided relief in funds and donations during the Covid-19,” he said.
