You Can’t Cut Corners Under NYSC -Director Tells Rivers Corps Members

Acting Director, Internal Audit, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Dr. Levi Okechukwu Agim, has warned corps members serving in Rivers State not to think of cutting corners in anything they do.

While urging them to deepen their patriotism and contribute selflessly towards national unity and integration, Agim said on Monday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, that the nation expected so much from them throughout the duration of their service.

He charged the corps members to make judicious use of the opportunities provided by the scheme for self- development and growth.

Agim enjoined them to participate actively in the four cardinal programmes of the scheme, adding that there would always consequences for those who prefer to cut corners, even as he said they must be seen to be persons of integrity and transparent honesty at all times.

Coordinator of NYSC in Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe, had earlier informed the acting director that the corps members were well behaved and disciplined and noted that they would rebuild Nigeria’s economic fortune in the nearest future.

Expressing deep worry over the high cost of food stuff and camp maintenance in the state, Oleghe added that the camp was well lit with over 250 new solar lights.
