The Director, Corps Welfare and Health Services of the National Youth Service Corps NYSC, National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja, Mr Omotade Ayodele, has encouraged the 2025 Batch A Stream 11 corps members to see their deployment to Rivers State as incidental not accidental.

Ayodele gave this charge during his visit at the permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, where he addressed the corps members.

The director charged them to live a life of value and make positive impacts, stressing that a life lived without value and positive impacts was a wasted one.

In his address, the director also advised the corps members to be security conscious in their place of primary assignment.

According to him, “see your deployment to the state as not an accidental but incidental, therefore, you must do everything in your power to live a positive and lasting legacy in the communities where they will serve.

“See the challenges of the rigorous activities on camp as deliberately designed to toughen them up and prepare them for the realities of life.

“I encourage you to have a good heart towards one another, be appreciative at all times, plan well, live wisely, be security conscious, and above all, embrace SAED with open arms.”

In his camp situation brief, the State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe appreciated the director for his visit to the camp and his uncommon commitment to the welfare of corps members.

Oleghe added that the corps members have been enthusiastic, diligent, and dedicated to inculcate the virtue of discipline in themselves while cheerfully participating actively in all camp activities and programmes.
