Yornamue, Veteran Journalist, Now TNN’s Editorial Board Chair

Another thorough bred journalism icon and professional, Elder Psaro Yornamue has joined the TNN team as chairman of editorial board.

Until now, Yornamue was a deputy director, corporate affairs in the NDDC where he served for about 15 years before retirement. An Ogoni activist, Yornamue is coming into the TNN fold with so much experience as a crack reporter and as an Ogoni social crusader.

He is a PhD candidate in the department of Mass Communication, Imo State University, Owerri and holds a master’s degree in linguistics & communication studies (print journalism) from the University of Port Harcourt and another Special Executive Master’s degree in Corporate Governance and Leadership from Metropolitan School of Business and Management, United Kingdom.

Yornamue is a former Vice Chairman, Imo state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ. .He was Eastern Bureau Chief, Newswatch Magazine between 2001 and 2003, Bureau Chief, Punch and The Guardian respectively, between 1999 and 2001, and had also worked as a correspondent with the Daily Independent from 2003 to 2005. He was, at a time, with the Sunday Tide, Port Harcourt,1982-1984.

Yornamue is a member of NIM, NIPR and NIPM and is married with children.
