- Prophet Sees Bleak Political Future For Ex-Gov
Gloomy days await the immediate past governor of Rivers State and minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, says the Founder and Spiritual Leader of the Lagos based Christ Deliverance Ministries Inc., Prophet Ekong Ituen.
This even as there are concerns regarding the consequences of Wike’s recent actions and outbursts against a former governor of the state, Dr Peter Odili and his wife, Justice Mary.
Wike had said at an event to honour the Odilis, while he was still in office, that God should not allow him to grow again (politically) if he ever did anything to make the Odilis to cry. Last week, Wike made the former governor to cry when he made derogatory comments against them publicly.
And just a few days after those comments that has since attracted condemnations, Ituen who is known for near accurate prophecies, released a worrisome prediction on Wike’s future.
He said the “honourable minister of FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike, needs divine intervention to destabilize the political conspiracy and embarrassment awaiting him by his party, PDP. I am not comfortable with my spiritual observation about his political future.”
It is feared that Wike’s recent outbursts against Odili may work against him, having vowed that he would not hurt Odili in all his life. While still in office and was having a robust relationship with Odili, Wike had said: “See, I don’t know the day I will die, but I know I will die one day, but the truth must be told, any day that I will make Dr. Odili and his family to cry God, don’t allow me to grow. This people suffered blackmail, everything, because of some people like us.”
While still at the podium, he had turned to Odili, looking at him directly, then he said: “Sir, I want to tell you today before people here, I will never be alive to make you cry and your wife, I will never do it. You will never cry because I know what you have passed through.
“I will never abandon you and your family. See where I am today, see where my wife(is). Today I am a governor, I might turn up to be a president, where would I have been but for you and your wife?”
However, in a recent media interview, Wike went against his vows. His grouse, according to reports, has been that Odili refused to join him in the war against Fubara. So, he decided to go against Odili. Even the legacy projects in honour of Odili and the wife, Wike also used it to make caricature of them.
He had said that he named a hospital he built in Port Harcourt after one man(Odili) and also named a judiciary complex after one woman(Odili’s wife). The he made allusion to Odili’s wife being retained as judiciary consultant by Fubara, a statement that is said to have hurt the Odilis badly.
When he was asked by journalists to speak on his current relationship with the Odilis that he once swore not to hurt or abandon, Wike had said that “as it is today, politically we don’t have… we don’t work together.”
“There could be some political differences, it has nothing to do with a personal thing. People should know that some of us, we don’t need to tell lies.
When asked if he still sees Odili as his leader, the FCT Minister responded “why not.” The he asked rhetorically: So does it mean I will be in the same camp with him?” It was an apparent confirmation that he and the Odilis had parted ways.
So, having abandoned the Odilis, at least politically, and having addressed them in ways that suggest mockery and disdain, will Odili stop growing politically, especially coming at a time that a prophet has seen danger ahead for Wike?
