Victim’s Family Seeks Justice As Man Pours Hot Water On Young Lady’s Breast In Rivers

Family of a 31-year old lady whose name was given simply as Blessing is seeking justice following an incident that occured on Thursday.
Their sister, Blessing who is struggling for survival, was poured hot water on the breast by a neighbour identified as Ejike.
The incident happened in their compound at Azikiwe Street in Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt.
TNN gathered that the victim, a hair stylist who was carrying hot water she was to use on a customer’s braided hair collided with Ejike’s son while coming out from the compound to her shop.
It was learnt that when they collided, some hot water from the kettle splashed Ejike’s son on the leg.
Hearing his son cry, Ejike rushed out of his room, heard what transpired, took the hot water and poured Blessing who was still sympathizing with the little boy.
The victim was severely injured on the breast, with burns on her face resulting from splashes.
Ejike was said to have absconded after the incident while Blessing was taken to Azikiwe Police Division in Illabouchi, before she was rushed to the hospital.
Elder brother of the victim, Mr. Goodluck E.O Nwankwo called for justice for his sister.
He told newsmen in an interview on Thursday that his desire was for the Police to apprehended Ejike.
According to him, “if that man is apprehended he will see that what he did to my sister is not right, it’s not good, so I have to do the necessary thing by government taking over the matter, that’s my own. I am calling for justice.”
On her state of health, Nwankwo noted that, “by God’s grace due to the medication they have given her yesterday she is getting small better but the problem is, the money is too much, I have spent alot and I don’t have enough to spend.
“I am thinking what to do, that’s the situation now.”
