The oil rich Niger Delta region is saddened by the news of the death of madam Tamunomiete Abite Tombomieye, mother of the Executive Director, Upstream Operation of NNPC, Mr. Adokiye Tombomieye.
The Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta MOSIEND, has condoled with the NNPC director, describing the demise of Mrs. Tombomieye’s as a great shock to the people of the region.

Speaking with TNN in an interview, the National President of the Pan Niger Delta Group, Kennedy Tonjo-West, said, “the Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in Niger Delta MOSIEND, received with shock the transition to eternal glory of Madam Tamunomiete Abite Tombomieye, the beloved mother of one of Niger Delta shining lights, a beacon of hope to the younger generation, a cerebral and seasoned professional to the core, a thoroughbred technocrat par excellence, an astute public administrator with zest and diligence, an sung philanthropist, an illustrious son of the Niger Delta, Engr. Adokiye Tombomieye.”
