Spread Light, Peace, Rivers NYSC Charges Corps Members

The Rivers State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps NYSC, Mr. George Mfongang, has advised Corps Members serving in the state to see nation building as their new responsibility which must be embraced wholeheartedly.
In an interview with TNN, Mfongang urged the corpers to be a source of light, peace and progress in their host communities where they are to serve.
He noted that the charge was expected to flame up the hearts of the Corps Members towards passion of patriotism, tolerance, discipline, trust and mutual respect for all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, ethnicity or religion.
The NYSC cord urged them to see their host communities as their new homes while working efficiently to transform the country and unify her citizens.
Mfongang further appealed to the Corps Members not to embark on night travels.
While stressing the need for them to wear the NYSC uniform correctly, he advised the corpers to avoid drug abuse and endeavor to embark on personal and group CDS projects.
He further reminded the Corps Members that the nation have big hopes on them and charged the not to fail.
