Sabinus Is My Magic Wand, Says Fast Rising Music Star

“Sabinus is my magic wand” were the exact words a Port Harcourt based fast rising musical artiste, Temidayo Peter Owojaiye aka D Yong used to describe the astounding Nigerian comedian, actor and skit maker, Mr. Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Mr. Funny or Oga Sabinus.
D Yong who spoke about his latest track, “The Main” in an exclusive interview with TNN Entertainment explained that it was inspired by his personal struggles, life experiences and challenges in the music industry, even as he hailed ‘Oga Sabinus’ for his contributions to his musical career.

The fascinating musical star and exponent of the trailer “No be love” Magical EP, kontrol, Call, I have Finish, also shared his experience during an event in Lagos Nigeria, where he said an event planner told him he was not going to make it.
According to him, “‘The Main’ is inspired by real life experiences. The song is a reflection of my personal journey and struggles, and is a testament to the power of perseverance and determination.
“’The Main’ is a soulful and emotional track that showcases my unique vocal range and songwriting talent. The song’s lyrics are heartfelt and honest, and speak to the challenges and obstacles that many people face in their lives.
“The track is a powerful reminder that no matter how difficult the journey may be, with hard work and determination, anyone can overcome adversity and achieve their dreams.

“Creating this song was a deeply personal experience for me. It was inspired by my own struggles and challenges, and I hope that it can serve as an inspiration to others who may be going through similar experiences. My goal with this song is to encourage people to keep pushing forward and to never give up on their dreams.”
D Yong explained that, “the struggles has not been easy at all but we kept moving. I remember years back when an event organizer told me plainly that I can’t make it big in Lagos, that I should go to a community call Ogugbolo in Okirika, River State. Several times I kept on believing and working tirelessly, I believe the breakthrough is still coming, we keep working.

On Sabinus, he said, “I call him blue chief, he has been a good friend and brother to me. He has been supporting me since 2018. Sabinus is a global investor, he is a good man, my magic wand. He did a video to my song titled, Call and Fame Came. He is always showing love, supporting Port Harcourt creatives.
“Sabinus liked and posted my video on his story, two seconds My Instagram views changed. I am thankful to him.”
