Rivers Receives 2247 New NYSC Members In Camp

At the National Youth Service Corps NYSC, swearing in ceremony of the 2025 Batch A Stream 11, the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ekwe Ibas (rtd) has described as critical and crucial, the contributions of corps members to nation building.

Ibas stated this on Friday, at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, where he charged the corps members deployed to the state to be creative and ingenious in offering their selfless services to Nigerians.

The SOLAD also assured the 2247 corps members, made up of 903 males and 1334 females, that his administration would place their welfare and security in the front burner at all times.

The sole administrator who was represented by the secretary to the state government and Chairman NYSC State Governing Board, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika, commended corps members for “the giant strides made over the years in the fields of education, agriculture, primary healthcare, and rural infrastructure.”

Earlier, the state NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe had urged the corps members to see their mobilization into the NYSC scheme as a veritable opportunity to contribute to nation building and development.

Oleghe commended the sole administrator and the people of the state for what he described as their uncommon support and high sense of commitment in taking NYSC scheme in the state to enviable position in the scale of rating in NYSC nationwide.

The Oath of Allegiance was administered by Justice Asivosou Oriye who represented the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi.
