Rivers Police Interrogates Suspects Over Alleged Assault of Ahoada East Administrator

Four days after they were declared wanted, the Chief Security Officer of Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr. Hector Ekakita and the Chief of Staff, Mr Aloni Olodi, have presented themselves to the state police command.

Ekakita and Olodi were declared wanted by the Police on July 6, 2025, following their alleged connection with the criminal conspiracy, stealing, assault occassioning harm on the Ahoada East Administrator, Mr. Goodluck Iheanachor.

They presented themselves on Thursday to the state police headquarters at Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, at about 1500hours, as revealed in a statement made available on Friday, by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-koko.

Irinke-Koko noted that “they were subsequently interviewed by the commissioner of police and his management team. Following the preliminary interview, they were further handed over to the deputy commissioner of police, in-charge of state criminal investigations department (SCID) for further investigation.

“The Police command urges anyone with useful information that can assist in the ongoing investigation to come forward.

“The commissioner of police, noted that the public’s cooperation and assistance are invaluable in ensuring that justice is served.”

Further, the command reiterated its committement to maintaining law and order in the state and assured the public that the investigation will be thorough and transparent.
