- Fubara’s Supporters Begin Mass Movement Into APP
- Sacked By Court As APC Chair, Okocha Laughs At Judgement
All do not seem to be well within the APC and the PDP in Rivers State as the two leading political parties are now in disarray, with the political gladiators trying to undo each other.

Signals are already emerging of a tougher political battle within the APC, after a high court in the state sacked an ally of Nyesom Wike, Tony Okocha and his CTC members, paving the way for Emeke Bekee, an ally of Rotimi Amaechi to return as chairman, with his elected exco members.
As would have been expected, Okocha says he is having a good laugh. According to him, the court merely did a yeoman’s job and did not surprise him at all. He said the apex court had already ruled that courts had no business interfering in the internal affairs of political parties, an apparent indication that he would fight the battle to the Supreme Court.

In the PDP, the fear of Wike and his men may have pushed loyalists and supporters of the governor, Sim Fubara into the APP. On Monday, signals emerged that Fubara’s men in the PDP may have started mass movement into the APP.
This came after the PDP, now believed to be in Wike’s full control, went ahead to conduct the ward and local government congresses.
The speculation has been that the two parties-APC and the PDP in Rivers State are in Wike’s grip especially as leaders of the two parties are seen to be working together and against the interest of the governor.

It is not clear if Fubara has a hand in the crisis currently enveloping the APC in the state. But there were indications that he may have started the processes of erecting his structures somewhere else, as he may not have a full coverage of the umbrella as the rains intensify.
Chairman of the APP in the state, Sunny Wokekoro said in an interview on Monday that it was shocking that a bomb exploded at the secretariat of the party in Port Harcourt less than 24 hours after the leadership of his party at the national level came into the state to prepare grounds to receive new members.
Although he did not name the new members that are to join the party, Wokekoro said those who were in the PDP as founding members had become disillusioned because of the way the party was being run, and had therefore decided to seek refuge in the APP.
