Residents of Eneka clan in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State were astonished, following a free medical outreach and orientation, organized by Miss Port Harcourt City 2020, Queen Sandra Okey Waka, during the weekend.
The programme which held at Waka’s family hall (Obiri-Waka) in Rumuosunwo-Eneka, had over 12 medical practitioners present, as people trooped from the eleven communities of the clan for medical attention.
Speaking during the event, a renowned community leader, High Chief Lucky Amadi, JP, described the initiative as fantastic and amazing.
The Eze-Udo 1 of Apara Kingdom said “Eneka clan is very proud, we are very proud of our daughter, Queen Sandra Okey Waka, the Miss Port Harcourt City. This outreach is indeed laudable, it’s fantastic and amazing. I am not equally surprised because what she won as a beauty queen cannot be overemphasized, she is naturally beautiful, her heart is pure and very, very okay.

“From what I witnessed today, from what she organized, coming to give medical outreach and orientation to so many persons and communities all over Rivers State, Port Harcourt, all over Apara Kingdom and Eneka Clan in particular, I think I am overwhelmed. I pray that her beauty should take her higher and higher.”
A senior uncle to the beauty queen, Chief G.C. Waka, JP expressed his excitement, even as he poured accolades on his niece. In his words “it’s a pride to the family, although we were not surprised because all along, even before we were born, our fathers have been having a lot of achievements in the name of Eneka, so we are not surprised, our own children will continue.
Speaking of the inspiration behind the outreach, the beauty queen told TNN that, “it’s actually part of my pet project as a queen, the aim is to give back to the society, to give back to humanity, to my people. This is what I promised to give to the society as a reigning queen before I hand over, and I wish to do it in my community because I know during the pandemic period I’ve been doing some little outreach in other community so I decided to do this, my own pet project in my community. I want my people, my community to gain something from their daughter as Miss Port Harcourt City.
“I am most grateful to God for thus far he has led me, if not for him, I wouldn’t be here, again, I appreciate my organization, Miss Port Harcourt City organization, they are the reason I have this opportunity and platform. My dad, he has been my most supportive system from the day one I chose to do modelling, though at first he never liked it, but when he saw my passion and love for this, he accepted it. also, my community for accepting me, and coming out en masee to partake in this outreach.”
